DIRECTOR

Ben brings over 15 years of private equity experience as a principal investor across the property and infrastructure sectors. Ben has a proven track record of leading consortia in the development of large-scale greenfield infrastructure and property projects in both Australia and the United States. His expertise spans a diverse range of sectors, including student accommodation, social and affordable housing, energy, transportation, digital infrastructure and social infrastructure.

Before co-founding Moco, Ben served as an Investment Director at John Laing, the mid-market infrastructure investment platform of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), where he was based in New York for 9 years prior to returning to Australia in 2023. Prior to joining John Laing, Ben focused on principal investment in the Australian property sector with a Melbourne-based family office. Prior to that Ben gained valuable experience in corporate advisory and principal investing at a Sydney-based investment manager and advisor.

DIRECTOR

Brendan brings over 15 years of experience in property and construction, specialising in cost management and construction consulting services for large-scale developments. With a background in quantity surveying, he has worked across Australia and the United States, guiding projects from concept to completion with a strong focus on budget efficiency and commercial viability.

Before co-founding Moco Property, Brendan was Director of Cost Management at Cumming Group in New York, leading a team overseeing multi-billion-dollar developments, including iconic projects such as Steinway Tower, One Wall Street, and Central Park Tower. Holding a Bachelor of Property and Construction from The University of Melbourne, along with AIQS and RICS certifications, Brendan brings his cost management skills along with a strategic, detail-oriented approach to every Moco Property project.

DIRECTOR

James brings over 20 years of experience in the construction and property industries. His extensive background spans a wide range of projects, including all forms of residential construction, as well as large-scale single, multi-residential, and commercial projects.

As a registered residential builder, James is renowned for his exceptional attention to detail and understanding of complex construction methodologies. His steadfast commitment to delivering high-quality results, combined with his expertise in project management, enables him to identify areas for process optimization, streamline workflows, and achieve cost-effective solutions for each project.

Before co-founding Moco, James worked for the renowned Melbourne-based residential builder Visioneer Builders, where he delivered several expansive architectural projects in and around Melbourne. He also recently worked for Melbourne-based developer Hip V. Hype, where he served as both project manager and superintendent across several projects, including the highly awarded Ferrars & York multi-residential project in South Melbourne.
